While riding in the turned position, get an assistant to push your fender to the outside of the turn. If you have weighted the pegs correctly, your turn will be unaffected. You can also try lifting your inside foot. Once again, if your weight is correct, this will not affect the turn.

Basic turns can be practiced in very small spaces. By mastering turns you will save points at every event. Not only will your turns be cleaner, but you will find yourself with more room on the approaches to other obstacles. Turns also teach clutch and brake control.

Once comfortable with basic turns, try dragging the front brake very lightly throughout the turn. In loose turns, this will help prevent the front wheel 'pushing.
