Rider Bio: Sam Sunderland is a rally raid rider with GASGAS Factory Racing and is a two-time Dakar winner. His rally success first came in 2011, when he won two stages of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and then three more stages in the Australasian Safari. Sam’s highly anticipated Dakar outing came on New Year’s Day in 2012 – at just 22 years old where he took an impressive seventh-place finish on stage one of the event. Fast forward five years and Sam became the first ever British Dakar winner, then backing that up with second Dakar win in 2022.
