BUSTO GETS BACK TO BUSINESS AT ANDORRA X-TRIAL

GASGAS Factory Racing’s trial supremo Jaime Busto has returned to indoor X-Trial competition with a positive runner-up result at the X-Trial of Andorra. With the full outdoor TrialGP World Championship having run its course since the fourth round of the X-Trial series way back in early April, Busto got back to business to extend his run of indoor podium finishes in 2023.

  • Jaime Busto finishes as runner-up at X-Trial Andorra
  • Penultimate X-Trial of 2023 hits Madrid in four weeks’ time
  • Spanish ace Busto sits second in X-Trial standings

Making the perfect start to his night in Andorra, Busto completed the opening five-section first lap dropping just one point. Then, despite picking up five points in the opening section of lap two, he ended the lap with the fourth best score, progressing into the three-rider final alongside countrymen Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli.

Faced with six super-tricky sections to end the night, Busto completed the final with a total of 26 points, securing him the runner-up result and continuing his run of X-Trial podium finishes.

Jaime Busto: “It’s been good to get back competing indoors again and to finish as runner-up is very positive. Things started really well for me, with no mistakes at all on the opening lap. That put me in the lead and in a really good place for the following rounds. Unfortunately, in the final I started with a five, my bike slipped a little and, well, the sections were really slippery in the final. After such a good start to the night it was a little frustrating, but to finish on the podium as runner-up is very positive. I’m really looking forward to the next event in Madrid.”
