RETURNING DUFFY AND GASGAS RACING TEAM RACE INTO PROMX TOP 10 AT WODONGA

Tough conditions made for a difficult day at round three of the 2023 Australian ProMX Championship, where riders were put to the ultimate test in the Victorian mud, and both GASGAS Racing Team riders Regan Duffy and Noah Ferguson posted consistent results across the two-moto format.

The duo began the day strong, with Ferguson qualifying in sixth position in the mud aboard his MC 250F in MX2, while MX1 challenger Duffy rode his MC 450F into P9 on the time sheets, setting the foundations for a solid outing as the motos arrived.

Ferguson braved the elements as he continues to return from a left collarbone injury, scoring P15 in the opening moto. The drying circuit made for a stronger result in the second moto, with the Queenslander closing out the day with a gritty seventh, netting him 11th overall.

For Duffy, his comeback season continues to build as his strength and fitness increase, with the number 72 securing a 10-11 moto scorecard for an encouraging eighth-place result overall at the technical Victorian circuit.

The GASGAS Racing Team will continue to build momentum in the weeks leading into the fourth round of the 2023 Australian ProMX Championship, which takes place in Maitland, New South Wales, from 6-7 of May.

Regan Duffy: "I'm stoked to get my first top 10 since I’ve been back – that’s a little goal ticked off now, so we’ll keep working towards the next one! The second moto was good, we were heading towards that top-five mark and then I threw it down... I think I had a total of nine crashes today, which made things difficult. All in all though, I'm really happy to bounce back after a difficult second round and we will keep working to move forward from here."

Noah Ferguson: "Qualifying for me was decent after I put together a lot of laps and logged P6 in the muddy conditions. From there, moto one was crazy, with lots of crashes and I had a bad start, which wasn’t ideal. I benefited from a better start in moto two, ticked off the laps, and did what I could from there. I believe I have the speed, although I just need to clear this injury, which is the main thing, and we will be able to keep improving the results at upcoming rounds."

Sunday was also a convincing round for GASGAS-supported MX3 class front-runner Byron Dennis, riding his MC 250F to third position on the overall podium after recording 4-3 finishes for the weekend.
