STRONG SHOWING FROM GASGAS RIDERS AT AUSTRALIAN TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

GASGAS riders delivered a strong showing at the 2022 GASGAS Australian Trial Championship in Jarrahdale, Western Australia, spearheaded by international Jack Dance who had the lowest score outright across the event.

Dance attended the GASGAS-backed event in an exhibition capacity, meaning that although he was the best-scoring rider of the weekend, he was ineligible to contend for an Australian championship.

Nonetheless, the 17-year-old GASGAS Factory Racing world championship regular from Great Britain gave the new 2023 model TXT RACING 300 a convincing debut on domestic soil.

In the premier Trial 1 category, GASGAS Australia rider Connor Hogan finished in second position after an intense two days of competition onboard his TXT GP 300, while Neil Price claimed fourth position.

GASGAS resident trials guru Grant Morris broke through to claim national title glory in Masters (over 35yrs), expertly piloting his TXT RACING 250 across a range of terrain and challenges, as did Glenn Crafter in the Veterans (40-55yrs) category.

The championship success didn't stop there for GASGAS, as Joshua Austin won Trial 3, Todd Cummins took out Trial 4, Ben Walling delivered an impressive showing onboard the TXT RACING 125 to claim the Junior (9-U16yrs) class win and Cody Zarczynski won the Junior (7-U13yrs) title.

Following a standout event this year, the 2023 Australian Trial Championship will be contested at Barina, Eden Valley, in South Australia next October.

Grant Morris (GASGAS Australia): “The overall event was great! We had a good number of spectators across both days and the sections themselves were excellent – it was just a really good vibe across the weekend. With GASGAS, we are essentially three years in the making with this because we were initially going to major sponsor the titles in South Australia in 2020, so to have the event take off in WA this year was great for everybody. GASGAS are really pleased, it’s been really good and it was a pleasure to be involved. The evening at Moto Dynamics on Thursday set the tone and then the level of riding throughout the event was of an exceptional standard. Having Jack in attendance with GASGAS made it all the better as well!”
