TADDY BLAZUSIAK HEADS TO POLAND FOR HERO CHALLENGE

This one’s going to be tough! Unable to ride since returning from Red Bull TKO in the USA nearly four weeks ago, Taddy Blazusiak is rolling up his sleeves, strapping up his shoulder, and hoping for the best as he heads home to Poland to compete in this weekend’s HERO Challenge – round six of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.

  • FIM HEWC heads to Poland for HERO Challenge
  • Injured Taddy hoping for the best
  • Michael Walkner set to continue FIM HEWC campaign

Taddy Blazusiak: “Since TKO I’ve not actually ridden my GASGAS as my main focus has been on trying to get the full strength back into my shoulder. It’s not an ideal situation going into a race, but I have a pretty good base fitness from training last winter and I’ve kept on top of my cardio, so I think I should be able to compete at a decent level. It’s a faster format race, which I think will suit me, and like always I’ll be giving it everything I have. I’m as ready as I can be and I’m excited to be racing in my home country again. I can’t wait to get started!”

Confident all will be ok and that he can rise to the occasion and deliver his best in front of his home fans despite his time spent off a bike, Taddy also knows that even with his impressive fitness, HERO Challenge will be tough. Expected to be the fastest race of the series, in mixing motocross, enduro, and superenduro elements, the three-hour extreme cross-country race will be anything but straight forward. In addition, the event will feature a qualifier, as well as a superenduro event, prior to Sunday’s main race.

Competing alongside Taddy once again will be GASGAS Factory Supported junior rider Michael Walkner. Sitting eighth in the FIM HEWC point standings, Walkner will look to gain more international race experience while also hoping to get his EC 300 as close to the podium as possible.
